The County of San Diego Board of Education hosted the California State Rollout for Next Generation Science Standards in San Diego this fall. Tara Fuad, Nature Collective Education Director and Krystle Miller, Escondido Union School District Teacher on Special Assignment, co-presented at the environmental literacy rollout.
Together, we shared our multi-grade partnership in the workshop for K-12 academic coaches, administrators, curriculum leaders and teacher leaders. We shared our field experiences in how we explore nature with a scientific mindset.
At our core, we inspire curiosity and wonder and build understanding and capacity for using the environment as an authentic, relevant, engaging, and equitable context to support student learning and NGSS implementation.
Observing lagoon snails is one of the many ways students connect with, discover + observe nature. Above: Nature Collective educators Kim + Tracey prepare for a 3rd grade field trip.
Every day, Nature Collective educators inspire students to take conservation action on behalf of their watershed + community in field trips.
THANK YOU for Supporting Inquiry to Action Conservation Education
