Nature Collective’s 2024 Goals Include Land Trust Accreditation

Preserving the beauty of our natural habitats and actively nurturing working lands is our responsibility and a testament to our commitment to driving a passion for nature in everyone. Nature Collective was recently selected via a lottery to apply for the prestigious accreditation from the Land Trust Alliance.

After years of saving natural lands, like Harbaugh Seaside Trails, Nature Collective is excited to apply for land trust accreditation. Land trust accreditation is a mark of distinction, showing that we meet high standards for land conservation. Accreditation will formally recognize that Nature Collective meets the highest national standards for protecting important natural places and working lands.  This process includes completing a rigorous review to demonstrate our fiscal accountability, strong organizational leadership, sound transactions, and lasting stewardship of the lands we conserve.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs.

How can you show your support?

The Commission invites your input and accepts signed, written comments on pending applications. Comments must relate to how Nature Collective complies with national quality standards, which address the operations of Nature Collective as a land trust.
