Join Our Leadership: Share the Future of Conservation

Make a
Difference

Are you ready to turn your passion for nature into lasting impact?

At Nature Collective, we work every day to restore important habitats, protect local wildlife, and ensure that everyone has the chance to connect with and benefit from the natural world.

Our goal is simple: to inspire a passion for nature in everyone. We help communities with few green spaces, reconnect people to the outdoors, and protect our local ecosystems.

To guide this important work, we are looking for dedicated leaders to join our Board of Directors.

Why Board Service Matters

As a volunteer board member, you will help set our future goals, support environmental education, and shape conservation programs across San Diego County and beyond.

We are looking for candidates who bring professional skills or lived experience in areas such as:

-Leadership within diverse or underrepresented communities
-Fundraising and resource development
-Financial management and strategic planning
-Marketing, communications, and public outreach
-Conservation, environmental science, and education
-Legal affairs

To build strong, community-focused solutions, our board must reflect the diverse groups we serve. We strongly encourage people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, immigrants, tribal members, and veterans to apply.
If you want to help more people experience nature, protect our environment, and share your leadership skills, we would love to hear from you.

Applications for the 2027–2029 Board Term are open through September 30, 2026.

Nature, a Love Story

When we experience nature, it inspires us.
With mesmerizing grace, it evokes wonder.
In nature, we discover trees, critters. . .ourselves.
We can breathe.
We see things anew.
We come alive and we also come together.
It heals . . . centers . . . opens us up to new possibility.
Just one experience has the power to captivate our heart.
