Trails + Ales

Our popular Trails + Ales Series is back! This exciting 6-month series explores six unique San Diego County trails and partner ale houses. Join Nature Collective, San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, Volcan Mountain Foundation, Escondido Creek Conservancy, San Diego Canyonlands, and Hike San Diego as we experience San Diego County together.

The Confessional by Lost Abbey will offer registered Trails + Ales Series participants a flight of three 4-oz tasters. Choose from one of their 18 taps featuring traditional, seasonal, or non-denominational craft brews.

  • Terrain

    A mostly even path to reach Annie’s Canyon Trail. However, watch out for tree roots that people could trip on. Note some soil erosion on the descending trail from Annie’s Canyon viewpoint and some stairs.

    The slot canyon’s vertical, narrow areas could aggravate claustrophobia. On the slot canyon path, there are ladder-style stairs, and on the switchback approach, you encounter wooden-plank stairs. At certain points, you need to scramble (aka use your hands + feet to propel yourself up).
