Bird count volunteers follow specified routes throughout designated areas in and around San Elijo Lagoon, counting every bird they see or hear. If you are a beginning birder, you will be able to join a group that includes at least one experienced birdwatcher.

  • Terrain

    Even path with slight inclines, declines and erosion control steps. Find the trailhead at the end of Rios Ave, where you also find on-street parking. Look for a kiosk with information about the lagoon.
