Make Your Land a Nature Preserve
Does your land hold important views, wildlife habitat, or natural space? Is it near existing conserved land? Do you hope to keep this land undeveloped for future generations to enjoy? Let’s work together to ensure its protection now and for the future.
Nature Collective’s Guidance
You have different options when it comes to protecting your land—and we are here to help. You can keep partial or full land ownership with a conservation easement, donate land now, or donate land after your passing. We work closely with landowners to make the process smooth and personalized. These approaches may also offer tax benefits.
Conservation Easement (We Monitor):
Landowners can work with Nature Collective to protect their land’s natural value. With this legal arrangement, the land stays in private hands and can be sold, leased, farmed, or passed to heirs. However, development and subdivision rights are often permanently restricted. Nature Collective ensures current and future landowners follow the terms.
Fee-Title (We Own):
For landowners who are ready to give up property ownership but still care about protecting wildlife and habitat, this is a great option. With this path, Nature Collective buys the land from willing sellers and takes on full responsibility. Fee-title acquisition is perfect for protecting special areas like rare animal habitats or cultural sites for the community.
Remainder Interest (We Own After Your Passing):
Landowners have the option of transferring their land to Nature Collective after their death. Until that time, they can still live on and enjoy the property. This land donation helps save nature and may provide tax benefits to the landowner. It’s a meaningful way to ensure the protected land is safe for future generations to have and appreciate.
