Like Earth Day, World Oceans Day (June 8) is every day! The United Nations describes: “To protect and preserve the ocean and all it sustains, we must create a new balance, rooted in true understanding of the ocean and how humanity relates to it. We must build a connection to the ocean that is inclusive, innovative, and informed by lessons from the past.”
Do you see yourself being more connected to the ocean and nature? Volunteering a few hours a month?
When you engage in environmental volunteer opportunities, you give back to your community – today and into the future.
Become a Volunteer Ambassador
Do you have a few hours each month on the weekends to volunteer? Because you love the outdoors, we invite you to join us and inspire everyone to connect with, experience, and protect nature.
As a Volunteer Ambassador (age 16+) you can help to welcome visitors of all ages when they experience Annie’s Canyon Trail + Swami’s Beach + Seaside State Beach. Volunteer Ambassadors provide information that highlights unique flora and fauna – plus guidance on how to enjoy our natural world in a sustainable way.
Register here for virtual training.
You can be a voice for the beauty of nature. And, when public programs resume, Volunteer Ambassadors will have more opportunities to encourage people’s discoveries during our nature-themed Family Days + Nature Tours + School Field Trips + Special Events.
