Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club Awards Grant

Soon, native plants will spread roots at Harbaugh Seaside Trails. A standout conservation supporter is our partner, Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club, who has supported our habitat restoration actions in recent years.

Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club’s $5,000 grant to Nature Collective directly supports the installation of native plants at Harbaugh Seaside Trails — the 3-acre public and open space linking the coastal cities of Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Solana Beach.

This grant also supports our community habitat restoration events that will be held this fall, giving you and your friends and families opportunities to be part of historic restoration at one of California’s iconic coastal view points. Dates will be announced soon for fall plantings at Harbaugh Seaside Trails.

If you are driving by or walking along Harbaugh Seaside Trails, you can see some amazing improvements underway: construction of the overlook deck, the beginning of the donor monument, designed by sculptor Betsy K. Schulz, renowned for her Coastal Rail Trail mosaics.

Sculptor Betsy K. Schulz is at work creating the mold for the donor monument that recognizes significant donors who contributed to save this land.

Schulz hand designs the mosaics for the donor monument representing native plants and animals you will see flying above and living on this land.

Harbaugh Seaside Trails will be dedicated in early 2020. Learn more here.

We thank Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club for joining us in this historic journey of nature for all.
